Pay per Click (PPC)

Instant Exposure; Instant Traffic

Pay-per-click (PPC) is a service that allows you to ‘bid’ on certain keywords that you would like to appear in search results for.

Adverts will appear under search engine’s ‘Sponsored Ads’ section in search results and you only pay when a user clicks your advert.  This means you pay Google to increase the chances of highly targeted traffic visiting your website.  The more specific their search query, the more likely they are to buy or make an inquiry.

Paid advertising is available across a number of platforms in various ways.  Google, Bing, YouTube and Facebook are the biggest platforms to display adverts and can vary from regular text ads, video adverts, image display adverts that ‘follow’ your audience and sponsored stories.

PPC is different to SEO because you can start generating visitors within hours of your adverts going live.

Focused and Specific Targeting

There are plenty of benefits of running a PPC campaign, the main benefit being how targeted and specific you can make your adverts and the audiences you display them to, giving you full control over your brand.  You can target people looking for your product or service, in the specific area they are searching from, during the times that are convenient for you to take their call.

Combined with analytics and conversion tracking, the PPC model can demonstrate real return on investment, directly relating sales or inquiries back to the advert the customer saw.

Only Relevant Visitors

One of the best things about running a PPC campaign is that you only pay for visitors that are genuinely interested in what you do.  Unlike traditional advertising where various types of people may see your advert, with PPC it is based on the users search.

Pay-per-click doesn’t have to be expensive, with ‘clicks’ generally costing pennies.  That said, for more competitive sectors, it is better to bid a little higher to receive more visitors.
